Death robs you of memories

Death robs you of happiness

Lifeless

The soul,

Fragile and brittle.

A battle so fickle

This cant be it.

In the mortuary,

praying and hoping

a bad joke?

Choke,

struggling to breath

a hard lump in your throat

A thought?

She will wake up

She must wake up!

Body viewing

Motionless

Casket lowering

Thud!!!

As the first lump of soil

Hits the ground

tears start flowing

you didn't realise when

But they cant stop

Reality sets in

Bring her back!!

Temporary madness

Like a wasp,

Death stings

If only

you could apply

anti inflammatory

and stop the pain

Death robs you of emotion

Death robs you of beauty

She has gone home,

I am left at home

I miss her!

Rest with the angels, Aunty Viola.
