I had her next to me

Sleeping

Breathing softly

A look into your heart

is a glimpse into heaven

I had her next to me

Smiling

Laughing sheepishly

I hadn't made a joke

Yet she finds me funny

I had her next to me

There she was,

Bold and Beautiful

In contrast,

Small and clingy

I had her next to me

Dancing

In broad daylight

With the world staring

But her mind steering

My eyes and soul

I had her next to me

Bubbly

Full of life

Her aura so warm

Eating through like a worm

I had her next to me

But I was too scared

to open my heart

And now she's pushing up daisies,

I cant seem to close it back

I had her next to me

... i had her next to me
