40 days in the wilderness,

With nothing to feed.

14 days in darkness,

he spent his last coin on my fees.

With 2 fish and 5 loaves,

He fed thousands.

his hands bruised, covered in gloves

he replaced my torn trousers..

Christ is my father

I see my father in Christ

In the evening he comes back tired

Worn out,

burnt out

like a matatu tyre

In Galilee, He calmed the storm.

In my gallery, he is managing the store.

To the soldier, He restored his ear.

To me, he lend an ear.

Christ is my father

I see my father in Christ

The devil wanted to give him dominion

an opinion on the mountain

A wicked's counsel.

A customer suggested a bribe,

tried a hefty envelope

to nab him on telephone.

He declined!

Their choices aligned.

Christ is my father

I see my father in Christ

He lay his life in the cold

every night

To get me a vacay in coast

With flights

He lay His life on the cross

Not by might

So i can have external life

he sacrificed his youth

So that i can live in comfort

He sacrificed for the truth

That the light may come forth

Christ is my father

I see my father in Christ

A toast to all the father's who get to be called Dad.
